St. Thomas
Community Health Center, a premier FQHC located in New Orleans is
seeking a
family practice physician due to continued growth. They are proud
to be
recognized by the National Center for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a
Patient-Centered
Medical Home (PCMH) is the NCQA gold-standard for measuring quality
care.
A new primary
care physician can be expected to build a practice quickly, a full
caseload is
typically 20+ patients daily and they are flexible regarding
location and
scheduling. Each physician has dedicated staff generally consisting
of 2
medical assistants and shared support from an RN.
Their
physicians do not have hospital coverage responsibilities.-- They
do have evening phone coverage from
clinic patients.-- That coverage is
rotated among the providers 10 physicians & 10 Nurse practitioners
and is
extremely limited. They are not responsible nor do they need to be
available
for hospital admits or hospital consults. The phone call coverage
rotates both
on weekends and weekdays between all providers.

They offer a

Thomas also offers malpractice through FTCA which is incident-based
and
requires no tail coverage.

Health Services Corp Student Loan Forgiveness
National Health Services Corps:-- St.
Thomas is a National Health Service Corps approved site with a
primary care
score of 12.-- With a two year commitment, a candidate is eligible
for $40,000 of loan repayment, 3 years is $70,000 and 4
years is $100,000.
