Job Description:LEMOINE is seeking a Vice President of Marketing
and Business Development within our Disaster Services business
line. In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic
direction for key marketing initiatives and must-win pursuits. This
key position is designed to support the development of market share
and build top-line revenue across LEMOINE's Response & Resiliency,
and Advisory Services business lines. This role requires extensive
relationship-building skills and strategies, including developing
relationships with leaders that span both geography and business
lines.This role requires a strong understanding of the overall
industry and market with specific understanding of the clients
LEMOINE serves. To be successful, you must monitor industry trends
for emerging opportunities and adapt strategies based on data and
analytics. Critical to this role is a strong understanding of the
overall vision of the organization, as well as the short- &
long-term objectives of the Operations units you support. This role
will be responsible for the development and implementation of a
robust marketing strategy in support of those operational goals.
Accordingly, you must understand budget considerations and optimize
marketing spending to align with ROI and business objectives.You
will work on selected opportunities and oversee bid strategies,
pricing, teaming, and proposal strategies and development. You will
be expected to support the internal strategy and risk management
for opportunities, while also accounting for the actions of other
team members responsible for capture plans. In this role, you will
lead strategic pursuits including the development of pre-positioned
opportunities that create desired results.The ideal candidate is an
accomplished senior business developer and marketing professional
who understands the disaster services space, project management,
contracts, and proposal development.Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Develops strategic marketing and sales plans and budgets for
marketing aspects of the Disaster Services business lines.
- Provides operational oversight of Business Development and
marketing functions.
- Member of the team accountable for effort, action and
results.
- Consistently analyzes current marketing strategy relative to
both short & long-term objectives.
- Sets sales priorities and accountabilities necessary to achieve
the annual sales target.
- Ensures that resources required to achieve performance targets
are aligned in order to deliver on key business objectives.
- Provides marketing leadership and oversight of branding,
messaging and media campaigns as well as overall strategic
alignment with LEMOINE's marketing programs and initiatives.
- Collaborates with members of the executive team to evaluate
both marketing and business development performance.
- Evaluate sales effectiveness by monitoring key performance
indicators (KPIs) to implement changes as needed.Business
Development Tasks:
- Collaborates to develop an integrated approach to business
development and strategic marketing activities across LEMOINE's
Disaster Services and Advisory Services business lines.
- Contributes to furthering the business development processes
across all business lines.
- Supports client business development relationships and
activities when needed.
- Supports the execution of strategies, major proposals, and
interviews.
- Serves as an ambassador for the broader LEMOINE business.
- Leads strategic teaming discussions with other consultants or
service providers on key pursuits.Public Relations and Media Tasks:
- Champions the firm's image and strategic public relations
objectives.
- Oversees communications efforts including advertising and sales
collateral adapting based on shifting priorities, data and
analytics and other timely information.
- Supervises collateral materials development, public relations
and advertising programs, corporate identity development and
implementation, special events, website optimization for search
engines, direct-mail programs, trade show and market research
activities.
- Leads marketing collateral efforts, social media and email
campaigns.External Branding and Marketing Tasks:
- Oversees key events related to projects, sponsorships,
fundraisers, conferences, meetings, etc.
- Preserves industry membership status and identifies messaging
opportunities, relationship strategies and goals for key employees
representing the firm.
- Participates in key professional and community organizations
that advance brand image and sales objectives.Mentoring and
Leadership Responsibilities:
- Participates in organizational strategic planning and leads the
Marketing initiatives in support of the Company's and/or Business
Unit's strategic plan.
- Contributes an executive leadership voice by calling others
into action, developing creative solutions and inspiring marketing
and business development team members to follow the vision.
- Listens, addresses and contributes ongoing feedback to team
members to reinforce positive work outcomes in achieving
established goals and objectives.
- Identifies, recruits, trains and develops talented team members
through mentorship and guidance as they achieve business growth
objectives and activities.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of Business Development leadership experience on
developing and executing winning strategies on major pursuits
(Gross revenue $50 million or greater).
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field or
equivalent work experience.
- 15+ years of Marketing leadership experience, preference for
candidates with similar industry experience.
- Be able to participate in creating a track record of a win
percentage of 60% or greater pursuits.
- Proven leadership and mentorship skills in developing key
employees and training on business development tools and
processes.
- Must possess the ability to work collaboratively across
multiple markets or business lines with various business
leaders.
- Supervisory experience developing creative content jointly with
graphic artists on high quality industry leading proposal response
documents, website enhancements, collateral, client presentations
and trade show booth materials.Desired Skills:
- Strong strategic writing, illustration, and communication
skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, CRM programs and
other business forecasting and pipeline development tools.
- Strategic thinker, able to analyze data for trends to make
business decisions on ROI, media investments and other budget
decisions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and content
development skills with a basic understanding of industry and
sector terminology.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills, a positive attitude,
and a professional demeanor.
- Highly observant and analytical. Excellent time management and
organizational skills.
- Requires flexibility to travel on a regular basis.Preferred
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of the Disaster Response industry,
specifically in emergency fuel and water supply, damage assessment,
temporary and permanent housing, and crisis management consulting
marketplace.
- Experience in developing strategic initiatives in current and
emerging markets.
- Existing relationships with other industry related companies
and consulting firms to facilitate teaming.
- Strong understanding of sales business pipeline development,
forecasting and budget considerations.Certifications or licensure:
- Driver's license and ability to maintain a driving record that
is satisfactory to the Company's liability insurance carrier is
